Which card should you use where?

Pick a spend category to see the Indian cards that pay you back the most. Rates are pulled from each card's reward rules, converted to real ₹ value at their true redemption rate — not the marketing rate.

How to read rewards honestly

  • Marketing rate ≠ real rate. "Earn 2% reward points" often means 2 pts per ₹100 where 1 pt = ₹0.25 — that's just 0.5% real value.
  • Redemption tier matters. The same point can be worth ₹0.20 on statement credit and ₹0.50 on flights. We show the best realistic rate.
  • Portal multipliers count. A card at 2% base can become 6% via the issuer's iShop, SmartBuy, Grab Deals or partner portal — read the notes column.
  • Watch the caps. A 5% dining card capped at ₹500/month tops out at ₹10k monthly dining spend — beyond that you earn the base rate.
